UEM Land Q1 Profits Up 207% thanks to East Ledang and few other developments

Recent article reported that UEM Land's revenue increased 61.8% to RM303.72mil from RM187.68mil in Q1 2012, mainly due to contribution from the group's development from East Ledang, Nusa Bayu, Nusa Idaman, MK28 and Quintet as well as sale of inventories from Dutamas and Meridin.

Well, I certainly hope that they spend some of this profit in better maintaining the development! A lot of times, UEM can be such a slack, for example quality of building is not as "prestigious" as image projected (i.e. high end development), gardens which have never been finished, refusal to service any building defects for sub-sale units, etc. UEM show us and the world that you are actually able to build and maintain high end development.

Angsana Spa Opened in East Ledang Clubhouse

Great news for everyone! Angsana Spa has finally opened on Sunday, 1st April 2012 (not an April fool joke). Angsana is a sister company of the renowned luxury villa brand and spa, Banyan Tree. The spa is located in the East Ledang/Ledang Heights clubhouse and is open from 10 am to 10 pm everyday.

You can view the spa menu in their website. I tried the Dreams 90 minutes message today and I was in heaven :) It's such a nice way to end the day after spending 3 hours driving in traffic today! Their service was excellent and the masseur was very good (Indonesian lady called Atika). There will also be an opening special promotion of 50% off from 15th to 30th of April, so it's more than worth it and I totally recommend visiting this spa.

Expats residents gathering @ Leisure Farm

A few weekends ago, we were invited to a potluck (held once every couple of months) by expats residents in this area.

There were about 20+ adults and quite a number of children (ranging from babies to teenagers).

It was very very fun to meet so many people who are in the same situation as us (i.e. moved from Singapore and are now living in Johor). Most people in the group are living in Leisure Farm and many commute to Singapore daily for work and/or to drop their kids to schools.

There were Australians, English, Germans, Canadians, South Africans, Americans, Malaysians and many more nationalities. We had an awesome time and look forward to the next gathering.
