This blog is for expats out there who are interested in moving to Johor, Malaysia & our families/friends who would like to hear about what we've been up to since the move.
I agree with the headline. The potential for Johor in the next 10 years is great. To maximize real long term value it is very important to have intelligent long range planning. This is the part I am a bit worried about. I think the next 10 years should be amazingly great economically in Johor almost no matter what (baring a global or Malaysia or Singaporean economic collapse). Making sure long term quality of life issues are planned for could be the difference between a shining star location globally and another overrun gridlocked metro area that decays as people seek better quality of life elsewhere.
Hi Curiouscat, couldn't agree more. Also, I hope that the developers build higher quality buildings which will last and still look good over time :)
